Come Together in Unity

inspired activists to use the electoral system to install representatives and officials that were responsive to the African American community’s needs. ¬†Poet and activist Amiri Baraka articulated this desire for political, economic and cultural autonomy in his poem, “It’s Nation Time” (click below).

  1. The idea was a good one: sad it was only window dressing at best!
    Really say Charles Rangle still cashing checks in the name of Charles Rangle!
    Look what happen to Harlem during that time frame with his oversight!
    Add up all of his checks over the years! Thank god he is finally on his way out!
    50 years too late!
    Otherwise a moment too remember indeed!!!!!!
